» CHARACTER INFORMATION
Character NAME: Lymsleia Falenas
Canon & MEDIUM: Suikoden V (video game)
Canon PULL-POINT: After the New Queen's Campaign.
Character AGE: 10
Character ABILITIES: Being as young as she is, Lym doesn't possess much in the way of combat abilities - though, because of the way canon works, the fact that she leads a Rune Archer unit in-game, and also because she's the motherfucking HBIC of Falena, it can be assumed that she has some passing knowledge in the use of rune magic. Combat stuff aside, she's a clever little girl! She knows her shit about politics and war strategy. You know, queenly things.
Character HISTORY: Here!
Character PERSONALITY:
Lymsleia is not so different from an average girl her age. She's loud, boisterous, and incredibly stubborn - so damn everyone around her if she doesn't get her way. These traits are only amplified by the fact that she is quite literally a spoiled princess, doted on and adored by her family and the citizens of Falena. However, she is not the pampered brat many would write her off as... well, not entirely. She was, admittedly, incredibly stuck-up when she was younger, going so far as to hold disdain toward her older brother - Freyjadour, being male, was not eligible for the throne as she was, despite his being the elder sibling, which clearly made her superior to him. But Frey never let this bother him, and despite his little sister's godawful attitude, he continued to love and protect her. This, in turn, made her realize how wrong she was; as a result, she slowly became a kinder person overall, and grew to love her brother as much as he loved her.

And then some. Nowadays, Lymsleia is very, very, very attached to her brother. She clings to him constantly, and becomes incredibly melodramatic whenever something comes up that causes them to be apart. If Frey has to leave the capital to do business for their mother, all the Sun Palace is subject to her epic bitchfits; every waking moment is spent pissing and moaning until they are reunited again. This close bond does extend to her parents, but there is literally no one in the world she loves more than her big brother.

She is also very innocent and sheltered, even for her young age. Her entire life has pretty much been spent preparing to inherit her mother's throne, and not much else. Being educated and groomed for queendom doesn't leave much time for being a kid, as it turns out. She doesn't have any friends outside of her family and the royal guard. The people she knows who are closest to her age are her brother and his bodyguard - and they're both a good six or seven years older than her. This, naturally, leaves her social skills something to be desired. What is having fun and making friends?

However, for all her childishness, Lymsleia is still very much her parents' child, and every inch a queen in the making. She has, on multiple occasions, displayed wisdom and competence far beyond her age, and proven herself to be just as capable a political schemer as any member of the Senate. She's very observant, too, and can smell a rat from a mile away - such as when meeting the Barows family, she immediately notices that both father and son are incredibly dodgy, and their act is far too rehearsed for her to be able to trust them. It takes a lot to fool her.

And although she was initially reluctant to take her place as Queen, being unwilling to have people fight and die in her name, but seeing the war tear her country apart made her change her tune quickly. She agreed to take the throne and become a "puppet Queen," having her husband and father-in-law pulling the strings behind the scenes, under the threat that her bodyguard and attendants would be executed if she didn't. And even though she is only Queen in title, for the most part, that doesn't stop her from sassing her generals and mocking their incompetence. Now, she's willing to take her fate head-on, all for the sake of the Queendom. This is her own brand of bravery, a determination to do whatever it takes to protect her people. And that courage and stubbornness are clearly a force to be reckoned with.

» EXSILIUM INFORMATION
Chosen WEAPON: Lymsleia's weapon will be her crown. As it levels up, it will gain abilities similar to that of the Sun Rune, except less god-modey. Also it won't drive her insane. Mostly I just want it to shoot lasers and shit. Also, it'll probably give her a bonus to persuasion or something because she's more a diplomat than a fighter.
Chosen SKILLSET: Since she is a tiny babby without any combat experience to speak of, I'd like it if she could be kept out of the line of battle. So diplomatic stuff would be cool, I guess.

First PERSON:
[Sup, Exsilium. There's a pair of big brown eyes - and just that - peering very, very closely into the camera. They blink a few times before their owner backs away slightly, just enough so that the rest of her face can be seen. Aw, it's a cute little girl! She's wearing an elaborate golden crown that appears to be just a touch too big for her head, as shown when it slips down over her forehead. Scowling, she pushes it back up, takes a deep breath, and clears her throat.]

The woman I spoke to wasn't very helpful, so I suppose I'll have to ask the community at large: Whose bright idea was it to abduct a queen? Queen of a nation that has its own war to worry about, even. Maybe if you had asked nicely, I might have sent soldiers to your aid, once our own conflicts had been settled.

[There's a pause, and she rolls her eyes and starts mumbling to herself.] Of course, someone had to go and ruin my one chance...

...And, really, why bring me? I can't fight. I'm not going to lead your armies. And if I happen to die in battle, then you'll have yet another war on your hands. This Initiative of yours isn't very smart, is it?

That said, I demand that someone escorts me back to the Sun Palace immediately. And that's an order from the almighty queen of Falena!

Third PERSON:
"I hope you go to hell."

Lymsleia all but spat out the words as she stalked past her aunt, that traitor, and stormed back into the palace. The guards who followed her inside seemed scandalized by her actions, but she didn't care. They didn't understand - no one did - so what should she care what they think?

She almost did it. Frey was standing right there, arms open wide, and all she had to do was give him a hug and allow herself to be "kidnapped," thereby ending the war entirely. But no. No, of course it had to end badly. Aunt Sialeeds had to go and betray her, betray all of them, and ruin everything. The war might have been over already, if not for her.

Lymsleia would never, ever forgive her for that.

A few steps away from her bedchambers' doors, she turned to face the guards and scowled at them. When they recoiled, she couldn't help but feel a bit of pleasure bubble up inside of her. At least someone knew who the real ruler was around here.

"Dismissed."

"But Your Majesty, Lord Godwin ordered us to--"

"I said dismissed," she repeated curtly. "My orders. You can tell my husband as much, if he complains."

Without waiting for a response, she turned on her heel and retreated to her bedchambers, slamming the door shut as hard as her little arms could manage. Then she locked the doors, pushed her chairs up against it, and stomped toward her bed.

Biting her lip, she sat on the edge of the bed and balled her hands into tiny fists. She trembled, squeezed her eyes shut, but did not dare let a single tear fall. She had promised herself months ago, after Mother and Father died, that she would not cry. If she cried, they would win.

And Godwins and Aunt Sialeeds be damned, she was not about to lose this war, especially not to the likes of them.
